Kamryn Melton and his Troy teammates in the secondary will likely be tested by a strong South Alabama passing attack on Thursday.
“ They’re so talented at the receiver positions – No. 1 (Josh Magee) and 2 (Tyrone Williams),” Koenning said ahead of Thursday’s matchup with the Jaguars. “This new guy they got – 80 (Kevin Kutchera) – if it gets anywhere near him, he’s catching the ball. They have a lot of guys who are extremely talented.”
As Koenning noted, the Jaguars (3-3 overall, 0-3 Sun Belt Conference) possess many offensive weapons – a reason they rank 42 nd in the nation in passing at 261 yards per contest.
