“We really haven’t talked to our players about Austin Peay. We’ll probably start Austin Peay prep Sunday (or) Monday,” Trojans head coach Neal Brown said after Wednesday’s practice. “I’m trying to get us focused … on the whole season. We’ve got a couple of short turnarounds (between games) where we will not have full practice weeks. We’re working on things as far as those go.”
Brown said both the offensive and defensive units are also simulating formations and plays they might see throughout the season.
“We’ve been going against ourselves so much that we’re starting to focus on things we’re going to see in our league that maybe our defense has not shown our offense and our offense hasn’t shown our defense,” he said.
