For Trojans head coach Neal Brown, Saturday’s game delivers so much more.
Brown will square off against his alma mater and former head coach at 2:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Brown played two years with the Minutemen before coaching there another season under UMass leader Mark Whipple.
“He has had a huge influence on me. He allowed me to come up and really develop as a man going away from home for the first time,” Brown said. “Professionally, he hired me as a graduate assistant. He is a huge role model and mentor for me and played a huge role in my life.
