Sun Belt Conference-leading Texas State didn’t exactly light up Trojan Arena, but the Bobcats’ 40 percent shooting (19-for-47) was better than Troy’s 15-for-50 (30 percent) performance and the visitors pulled away to a 58-44 victory.
“I thought we played hard. I thought we were good defensively,” Troy coach Phil Cunningham said. “You don’t have to be a rocket science to see what our problem is right now. We’re just struggling to score.
