TROY – Troy closed out its highest-rated recruiting class with five signees that addressed specific needs on Wednesday.
New head coach Chip Lindsey credited the work of Neal Brown’s staff for a touted early class signed in December, but also praised the work of Brown’s staff carryovers – Brandon Hall and Bam Hardmon on defense and Brian Blackmon and Cornelius Williams on offense – for their effort in the transition.
“ The coaches that were here last year, those guys really helped hold this class together,” Lindsey said.
To be sure, Lindsey made it a point to meet with the 18 players Brown’s staff signed in December.
