TROY, Ala. – The Troy softball team heads to Columbia, South Carolina to participate in the Black and Garnet Challenge where they will square off against No. 16 South Carolina and Charlotte this weekend at Beckham Field.
The Trojans (11-4) enter the weekend after picking up a shutout win over McNeese State on Wednesday.
Leanna Johnson (7-2) continues to be Troy's workhorse in the circle having pitched 65.1 innings this season. The sophomore currently sits at the top of national rankings with five shutouts and second in strikeouts (94).
