TROY, Ala. – Troy men's basketball will face No. 17 Texas Tech Friday night at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas, Troy Athletics announced Wednesday morning. The 8 PM matchup will be televised live on ESPN2.
"One of my close friends who was on my staff is Ulric Maligi, who is on their staff," head coach Scott Cross said. "He probably saw on Twitter that our game against Wake Forest got canceled, and their game against St. John's got canceled too. We both had an opening so it was a perfect match."
"They asked if we were interested and obviously we were because you cannot pass up the opportunity to play a team like Texas Tech on national TV.
