The Troy Trojans jumped out to a 17-0 first-half lead at Nebraska and held off the Cornhuskers to take a 24-19 upset win on the road at Memorial Stadium.
Troy improved to 2-1 with the win, while Nebraska, under new head coach Scott Frost, dropped to 0-2.
Troy earned its early lead off a Tyler Sumpter 37-yard field goal, a Cedarius Rookard 58-yard punt return for a touchdown and a Sawyer Smith 9-yard TD run.
BJ Smith gave Troy some breathing room with a 26-yard TD run with 6:45 left in the game and Nebraska answered with a touchdown pass with 2:55 left.
