April 19 will be DeMarcus Ware Day in Alabama.
Ware played for the Denver Broncos as they won Super Bowl 50 to cap the 2015 NFL season. The outside linebacker is a native of Auburn and played at Auburn High School before going on to star collegiately at Troy.
The university announced the plans for DeMarcus Ware Day.
Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley will hold a special proclamation ceremony on April 19 at the Capitol Building before Ware addresses a joint session of the Alabama Legislature in the morning.
The events shift to Troy for the evening ceremonies.
