BOONE, N.C. – The Troy softball team hits the road to travel to Boone, N.C., for a three-game series against Appalachian State at Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium with a doubleheader on Friday at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. CT and the series finale on Saturday at 12 p.m.
Troy (18-7, 1-2 Sun Belt) is coming off a big 11-2 win over Florida A&M at the Troy Softball Complex on Wednesday night.
The Trojans have three players batting over .300. Senior Kate Benton is electric at the plate posting a .468 batting average, 36 hits and 26 runs.
