STATESBORO, Ga. – Clutch late-inning hits powered Troy to its third straight series win after picking up the victory over Georgia Southern, 3-1, in the Sunday series finale at Eagle Field.
The Trojans (20-9, 6-3 Sun Belt) have now won its first three series in league action in back-to-back seasons.
(13-4) jumped out the gate firing on all cylinders. The righty carried a no-hitter with five strikeouts into the fourth inning.
Georgia Southern (8-17, 3-6 Sun Belt) broke its hitless streak with a one-out home run by Janai Conklin in the bottom of the fourth frame.
