TROY, Alabama – The Troy softball team recently wrapped up its 2016 campaign at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Mobile, Ala., and the season was another record breaking one on many fronts.
For the second straight season, the Trojans broke a school record for home runs in a season as Troy belted 62 long balls. The previous record was set in 2015 with 51 home runs hit. Hannah Day led the team with 16, Becca Hartley hit 11, Amanda Winters hit 10 and Carli Kayler finished the season with seven.
