USA Softball and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association both named Trojan Hannah Day, a senior outfielder from Crestview, Fla., as their national player of the week Tuesday.
It was well-deserved for Day, who piled up a ridiculous .812 batting average and 2.125 slugging percentage thanks to 13 hits – including six homers – in four games last week. She also drove in 20 runs to lift her season total to 48, which leads Division I softball.
