ORLANDO- Troy (13-6) completed the sweep of the D9 Citrus Classic on Sunday with a 2-1 win over Binghamton (1-4) as the Trojans went 5-0 on the weekend.
Logan Calhoun finished the weekend with six hits, four runs, including a triple and a home run, and five RBI.
For the third straight game, Calhoun led off with a hit, this time a triple, to get the bats going early for the Trojans. Madeline Porter followed with an RBI-single, bringing Calhoun home with no outs, but three fly balls left Porter stranded.
Both teams struggled to get a run across the plate, after Troy's initial 1-0 lead in the first, until Madeline Porter posted her second hit of the day, a double to get a runner in scoring position with only one out.
