TROY, Ala. – The Troy Soccer team returned home from a two-match road swing in-style, toppling Appalachian State, 1-0, Thursday night at the Troy Soccer Complex.
The match kickstarted without much fanfare, with both squads combining for just five shots, one of which was on goal through the first 20 minutes of action.
Troy's (5-7-1, 2-4-0) leading scorer flashed her soccer knowledge with a heads-up read of a Mountaineer (4-7-1, 0-5-0) attempted pass back to the goalie. Bloomfield intercepted the pass and found the back of the net in the 22 minute for the seventh time this season.
