TROY, Ala. – Despite outshooting No. 14 Auburn in the second half, Troy's second half rally came up short, 2-1, Thursday night at the Troy Soccer Complex.
After falling behind 2-0 at the half, sparked Troy's offense, slicing through the Tiger defense to find her first goal of the season in the 60 minute.
The Trojans (2-1) saw their best opportunity to even the match in the 85 minute when and fired off a pair of shots, but neither could not find the back of the net.
Auburn (3-0) became the first opponent to score a goal off Troy this season when a shot from Hannah Waesch bounced off the crossbar and back of goalie in the 23 minute.
