TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's basketball team used a steady dose of scoring from Nia Daniel, Ja'Mia Hollings, and Tai'Sheka Porchia to down Mercer 79-73 at Trojan Arena on Saturday to snap a three-game losing streak.
Troy improves to 4-5 on the year after the win over the Bears, and the record at Trojan Arena rises to 1-1. Mercer, meanwhile, falls to 3-6 to start the 2022-23 campaign.
The Troy offense was once again led by Alabama transfer Daniel. The guard had a team-high 24 points against Mercer and added four rebounds and three assists.
