TROY, Ala. – For the second-consecutive night the Troy women's basketball team dominated Coastal Carolina from start to finish. After defeating the Chanticleers by 45 points on Friday, the Trojans turned around and beat CCU by 31 on Saturday, as they closed out their seven-game home stand with an 84-53 victory over Coastal Carolina.
Troy (8-4, 5-1 SBC) extended its season long winning streak to five on Saturday, despite being outshot by Coastal Carolina (3-7, 0-6 SBC). The Trojans shot 41 percent (35-for-85) while the Chanticleers shot 48 percent(24-for-50). Although Troy was impressive offensively, it was the defense that really shined.
