Troy reaches Sun Belt championship game after comeback win over Georgia State

Troy is one win away from its first trip to the NCAA tournament in 14 years.

The Trojans rallied past Georgia State 74-63 in the semifinals of the Sun Belt tournament on Saturday in New Orleans, overcoming a 9-point halftime deficit. Sixth-seeded Troy (21-14) meets No. 4 Texas State (20-12) for the tournament title and an automatic NCAA berth at 1 p.m. Sunday on ESPN2.

Wesley Person scored 16 points to lead the way for Troy, while Jordon Varnado added 15 points and nine rebounds. Jeremy Holliman (14 points) and Devon Walker (12) were also in double-figures for the Trojans, who won despite shooting 6-for-26 from 3-point range.
