TROY, Ala. – Troy scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game, but UAB responded with a two-out, solo shot from Jim Jeffries in the tenth to take the midweek contest, 7-6, at Riddle-Pace Field Tuesday.
Jeffries had just one hit all season before the at-bat but stepped to the plate and launched a no-doubter to right center to give the Blazers (15-19) the extra-inning lead.
