CONWAY , S.C. – Sixth-seeded Troy dominated the middle innings en route to a 10-7 victory over No. 8 Louisiana in a Sun Belt Conference Tournament elimination baseball game on Thursday morning at Springs Brooks Stadium.
The Trojans (30-28) belted four home runs in the contest and have defeated the Ragin’ Cajuns (28-31) in three out of the four meetings this season.
Levi Thomas posted a stellar outing to earn his eighth win of the season (8-2) delivering seven innings with seven strikeouts. Thomas gave up three runs on four hits with only one walk.
Six Trojans tallied two hits in the contest led by Drew Frederic going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored.
