TROY, Ala. – Despite battling rainy conditions, Troy players put on a show for NFL and CFL scouts Thursday at Troy's annual Pro Day. Ten Troy players in addition to select players from other area schools participated in various drills both in Troy's North End Zone Facility and on the turf in Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Cornerback Will Sunderland stole the show with a 4.46 40-yard dash, 36-inch vertical jump and 4.16 20-yard shuttle, all of which would have ranked among the leaders at last week's NFL Combine. Registering in at 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, Sunderland's 40 time would have been 10th at the Combine among cornerbacks, his vertical would have ranked 11th and his 20-yard shuttle would have been the fifth best.
