TROY — On the heels of Troy’s surprising win at Southern Miss, two Trojans pronounced it as a sign of revival.
“Troy football, we’re back,” defensive end Rashad Dillard said Monday. “We’re not the same Troy we were two or three years ago.”
The Trojans’ 37-31 win over the Golden Eagles, after a six-point loss at national power Clemson, has led to a surge of confidence heading into Saturday’s Sun Belt opener against New Mexico State.
Troy (2-1) hosts the Aggies (1-2) at 6 p.m. Saturday.
“I feel like Troy is definitely back,” defensive lineman Jamal Stadom said.
