BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After Ines Garcia led Troy into competition yesterday, the Trojans followed it on day two of the UAB Green and Gold - Invite and Multi with nine top-five finishes on Friday in the UAB Track and Field Complex.
The steeplechase proved to be Troy's most successful event, having three athletes placed in the top five. Blake Vaughn came across the line at the 9:47.32 mark, proving enough for silver - quickest lap was his final lap at 1:17.084. With a time of 10:17.08, Sage Delfino rounded out the top five on the men's side for the Trojans.
