TROY, Alabama – The Troy track and field team qualified for five events and is sending seven different athletes to the NCAA East Preliminaries, which begin on May 26 and end on May 28.
The Trojans have two different athletes qualifying for two different events with Zach Douglas qualifying in shot put and discus. Hakim Montgomery and Benjamin Martin both qualified for the 100-meter sprints and are a part of the men's 4x100-meter relays. Corina Cox and Jaevyn Wortham both qualified for the discus competition.
Montgomery and Martin achieved times at the Sun Belt Conference Championships that qualified them for the preliminaries in the 100-meter race.
