FT. WALTON BEACH, Florida – The Troy women's tennis team open a four-match spring break trip with a 5-2 win over Mercer at the Ft. Walton Beach Tennis Center on Sunday.
Troy (7-3) has now won four of its last five matches ahead of Monday's Sun Belt opener against ULM.
On Sunday against Mercer (6-7), Troy opened the match with two easy doubles wins as the Trojans' No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams both won by 6-2 scores.
It was then the bottom of Troy's singles lineup that played well to clinch the match. Efriliya Herlina saw her opponent, Katie Sidor, retire at No.
