A 427-yard offensive effort powered the Troy football team (7-2, 5-0 Sunbelt) to its 11th straight conference victory over Louisiana-Lafayette (4-5, 2-3 Sunbelt) 26-16 on Homecoming Saturday
After both teams traded field goals in the opening ten minutes, Sawyer Smith connected with Damion Willis on a 75-yard pass for the lone touchdown of the first quarter.
Willis ended his best quarter of football at Troy with 137 of Troy’s 185 receiving yards.
