Troy Notebook: Troy launches Community Hero tickets for regular season

A ticket initiative by the Troy athletic department went so well for the New Orleans Bowl that it will now be expanded to include the upcoming football season.

“We were just thinking that if we made that big of an impact in Louisiana and New Orleans during that week period, how much more we can do in the Wiregrass,” Troy deputy athletics director Brent Jones said. “That starts in Troy at the epicenter and it moves out.”

Troy is launching the Community Hero Ticket Program, which allows fans to purchase season tickets for $48 to be donated to military, teachers, first responders, special needs organizations and charity programs for children to attend the six home games this season at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
