Troy notebook: Letton emerges as another weapon for Trojans

Letton caught four passes for 49 yards after entering the game with just two catches for 20 yards this season. The former three-star tight end said the success of other players – like leading receivers John Johnson, Emanuel Thompson and Deondre Douglas, allowed him to get open.

“With their success, no one really knows about me, so when I get out there, it’s like ‘Who’s this guy?’” Letton, a Marietta, Ga., product said. “They were just giving us the short pass, and we nickeled and dimed it down the field.”

Trojans head coach Neal Brown said Letton’s work in practices – after missing two games with a concussion – allowed him to increase his production Saturday.
