TROY – A spirited battle at Troy’s five-technique defensive end spot has sharpened into focus a bit in the past week.
Jarvis Hayes of Slocomb, Rasool Clemons and Antoine Barker will rotate most of the reps, head coach Neal Brown said after Tuesday night’s practice.
“ Jarvis Hayes came in – whether from a leadership standpoint, a strength standpoint, plays hard, great effort,” Brown said of the junior college transfer. “Rasool has come a long way. He gives us length, which is something we were sorely missing a year ago. I think he can do some of the things that Junior Gnonkonde did for us in ’16.
