TROY – Troy senior nose guard Trevon Sanders majors in criminal justice – but maybe he should give chemistry a try.
“I like blowing stuff up anyway,” Sanders said this week, referencing his role on the football field, not in the classroom.
He’s been very effective at detonating offensive plays the past two weeks. The 6-foot-1, 327-pounder from Charleston, S.C., who sat out the Florida A&M game with a knee injury, came back and throttled Nebraska and Louisiana-Monroe in consecutive games.
“I thought he’s played at a high level two weeks in a row – especially after a really disappointing game in week one,” Trojans head coach Neal Brown said.
