Troy Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins Jr., in an interview with the Dothan Eagle Thursday, said the final project designs from athletics officials and architects McKee and Associates and Heery International could be on his desk by the middle of next week. Once the designs have been approved, the bidding process will begin – something he anticipates will finish by at least early March.
Even though the process has taken longer than desired – last year officials said they hoped to begin construction this month – Hawkins said the end goal of having the building complete before the 2017 season remains in place.
