MACON, Georgia – The Troy women's tennis team (2-7) dropped a close 4-3 match to Mercer (7-6) on Monday at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.
In doubles play, duo Sanae Ohta and Nancy Karaky picked up their third dual match win of the season, defeating the Bears 6-1 on court one. However, Mercer earned the next two wins on courts two and three, 6-1, 6-3 respectively, to take the doubles point and a 1-0 lead in the match.
In singles action, Matea Mihaljevic evened up the match with a quick 6-0, 6-0 win on court five over Lucia Gutierrez.
