The Troy volleyball team has been selected as a recipient of the 2018-19 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, the AVCA announced Monday.
Additionally, the Trojans were named to the AVCA's Team Academic Honor Roll which signifies a top-25 combined team GPA among Division I schools. The team recorded a combined GPA of 3.62 during the 2018-19 academic year.
"I'm extremely proud of the academic accomplishments of our team and the high standard they set for themselves in the classroom," head coach Josh Lauer said. "Winning the AVCA Team Academic Award was a goal the team set last August, so it is very rewarding to see all of our players' hard work pay off.
