The Trojans play host to the South Alabama Jaguars, beginning with the women’s team at 5:15 p.m. at Trojan Arena. The men will follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Both teams enter the contest having lost two consecutive games – to Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana-Lafayette. The women (10-7 overal), 5-3 Sun Belt Conference) dropped two close ones, 77-73 against ULM and 56-53 against ULL, while the men (6-13, 1-7) had a rougher time – losing 85-74 to ULM and 88-65 to ULL.
Comparing the records, it appears the Trojans have a solid chance of winning both games. South Alabama’s men are just one game ahead of Troy from the bottom of the Sun Belt standings, while the Jaguar ladies are 7-10 overall and 3-5 in conference play.
