The Minutemen (2-7), playing a tough schedule, have surrendered 31 sacks in nine games this season. The Trojans’ defensive front enters the game coming off their best performance in terms of sack production – tallying a whopping six against South Alabama on Oct. 20.
“That sounds lovely to me,” said Troy defensive tackle Baron Poole II, who registered a sack in Troy’s last game against South Alabama. “I’m going to be in the backfield every play.”
The Trojans’ pass rush production has trended upward in the last month or so. In four Sun Belt Conference games, the Trojans (6-1) have tallied 17 sacks that have generated 110 yards in loss.
