TROY – Troy returns six starters to a defense that ranked among the nation’s best in several key areas in 2017.
Among that returning experience is leading tackler and Will linebacker Tron Folsom, who doesn’t exactly look the part. In today’s world of marketing nicknames, he’s not Megatron. He’s not Jumbotron. He’s just Tron. His production is nickname-worthy, however. Folsom, at 6-foot-2 and just 209 pounds, recorded 80 tackles last year and was fourth on the team with nine tackles for loss.
“He’s really a unique guy,” Troy head coach Neal Brown said after a recent practice.
