TROY, Ala. – Five Troy women's golfers have been named Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars for their work in the classroom this past academic year, the WGCA announced this week.
Judith Castro, Ainsley Cowart, Elisabeth Preus, ShaeLee Scarberry and Anna Claire Little were among the 1,400 student-athletes across all NCAA levels to earn the honor. The criteria for selection required student-athletes to maintain a cumulative 3.50 grade point average.
Preus finished second on the Troy squad this past season with a 74.60 stroke average and four rounds under par while Scarberry earned an individual win and closed the shortened season with a 75.
