LAFAYETTE, Louisiana – Troy won its first Sun Belt Tournament game in four years with a 5-1 victory over Texas State at Russo Park Wednesday night.
The Trojans (39-18) had lost seven straight and nine of their last 10 tournament games prior to the win – it was the first postseason win in the Mark Smartt era.
