MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – Troy played a patient and steady round in Sunday's opener of the Sun Belt Men's Golf Championship at the Raven Golf Course. The Trojans led the field in pars and limited the big numbers to find themselves tied for fifth place; the top four teams following the third round advance to match play.
"You can't win the tournament in the opening round, but you can certainly lose it," head coach Bart Barnes said. "We got off to a sluggish start with the exception of Calum, but our guys battled hard and grinded out some really tough holes in the middle of the round to get their days back on track.
