TROY, Alabama – The Troy softball team welcomes Georgia Southern this weekend to compete in the final home series in a conference matchup at the Troy Softball Complex. The doubleheader on Saturday is slated to begin at 1 p.m. and the series finale is set to begin at 12 p.m. on Sunday. Senior Day will be held prior to the first pitch on Sunday.
Troy (26-18, 7-8 Sun Belt) enters the weekend coming off a heartbreaking, 2-1, loss to Georgia Tech at Shirley Clements Mewborn Field on Wednesday.
Kate Benton owns a .415 batting average and leads the club with 59 hits, 43 runs and 33 stolen bases, which is second in the Sun Belt.
