TROY, Alabama – Super Bowl champion and former Troy Trojan great DeMarcus Ware was honored by the state of Alabama, Troy University and the city of Troy on Tuesday, April 19, as it was officially DeMarcus Ware Day throughout the state. Ware was recognized as an Alabama native and a Troy Trojan for his role in Super Bowl 50 and his stellar NFL career.
DeMarcus Ware Day culminated with a special ceremony in Trojan Arena beginning where Troy University Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., presented Ware with the Troy Distinguished Leadership Award and Troy Mayor Jason Reeves presented Ware with a key to the city.
