TROY, Ala. – A trio of Troy football student-athletes have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced this week. Kyle Nixon, Austin Stidham and Luke Whittemore represented Troy on the District Four team, which includes schools from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Puerto Rico.
Nixon, Stidham and Whittemore will now move on to the CoSIDA Academic All-American ballot. The CoSIDA Academic All-America and All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field or court and in the classroom.
