TROY, Ala. – The Troy football program has operated at a high level on the field for years and in a recent study released by ValuePenguin, a LendingTree company, the Trojans were named one of the most cost-effective programs in the country. Over a 10-year period (2004-13), Troy ranked 29th nationally and third in the low budget (less than $7 million) category.
Since moving to the FBS ranks in 2001, Troy has won six Sun Belt Conference championships, made eight bowl appearances and knocked off Power 5 opponents LSU, Nebraska, Mississippi State, Missouri and Oklahoma State.
