TROY, Ala. – Troy football passed the halfway point of spring practice Thursday with a two-hour workout in The Vet after heavy rains on Tuesday and Wednesday made the grass practice fields unusable for an effective practice session.
It was Troy's first practice since Monday and served as a good primer before the Trojans are set to go through a physical scrimmage on Saturday. Unlike last Saturday's practice, which was half scrimmage and half practice, this upcoming weekend will be almost 90 percent scrimmage following a brief warm-up.
"We're getting closer (to where we want to be as an offense)," offensive coordinator Joe Craddock said.
