TROY – It probably wasn’t a difficult choice that Troy coaches named Tron Folsom the Trojans’ defensive player of the week.
Folsom intercepted two passes –and took one back 53 yards for a touchdown – in last week’s 59-7 victory over Florida A&M. He also led the Trojans with five tackles, tops on the team, and had 1.5 tackles for loss in the game.
Head coach Neal Brown said the production followed a great week of practice from Folsom, a 6-2, 209-pound Will linebacker – something coaches don’t always see from the junior.
“I thought he set a high standard with how he prepared,” Brown said.
