TROY – On a day when several Trojan starters played little to no football, some Troy newcomers, backups and unknowns shined.
Defensive ends Rasool Clemons and Kelvin Lucky had strong days, freshman Terence Dunlap handled a new role well and Enterprise’s Marcus Jones continued to impress in the Trojans’ second scrimmage of fall camp Friday.
Four walk-ons – fullback Zacc Weldon of Skipperville, wide receiver KE’Marvin Pitts, defensive end Hunter Reese and tight end Gabe Hill – also earned full scholarships from the program after the scrimmage’s conclusion.
“Special, special deal,” Trojans head coach Neal Brown said.
