JAY HARE/DOTHAN EAGLE
Troy safety Kyler Knudson prepares to knock away a pass intended for Georgia State receiver Christian Owens during a game at Veterans Stadium on Thursday night.
JAY HARE / DOTHAN EAGLETROY – Troy fullback Zacc Weldon’s impact with Troy’s offense had been limited to blocking – and he never minded that crucial role.
The junior from G.W. Long High in Skipperville made his 31 st consecutive start Thursday night but had never been credited with a rushing attempt or a pass reception.
That changed in the second quarter. Weldon took a 3-yard reception in right flat down to the 1-yard line.
