The Liberty Flames (2-0) beat the Troy Trojans (1-1) on Saturday, winning 21-13 on the road behind Malik Willis' big night.
Willis went 13 for 18 passing for 154 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 93 yards and another score. As a team, the Flames rushed for more than 180 yards.
Trojans quarterback Taylor Powell went 18 for 25 for 211 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Troy's late comeback attempt, following a blocked field goal and a fourth-and-goal touchdown, ended after the Flames recovered the onside kick with a minute left.
