TROY, Ala. – The Troy Softball team fell to No. 2 Florida State, 12-0, Wednesday at the Troy Softball Complex.
Trojan faithful packed the stands for the Wednesday midweek tilt, setting a Troy Softball Complex attendance record with 2,121 fans.
The Seminoles (28-2) struck first in the top of the first off a two-run home run from Michaela Edenfield.
Troy (18-8) saw its best look when two runners got aboard in the bottom half of the frame, thanks to a pair of two-out walks, but a ground out stranded the runners.
After recorded Troy's lone hit in the bottom of the second, back-to-back home runs from Edenfield and Devyn Flaherty and an RBI double tacked on five runs for Florida State in the top of the third.
